VLOG # 1

Well I been thinking of the idea since the start of the site and now here it is a Video Log of my upcoming bears. This is not a review but a look forward to the next few reviews. I don't know if this will catch on but I'm testing it out. I would love feedback on this! The site also has some new gadgets up on the side bar to check out like polls,  top lists and other blogs to follow so please check out! Thanks and spread the site to friends and family!

Mini Rainbow Frogs(Geoff)

Front side of bag
Back side of bag
YES! YES! Another Haribo gummy and this time I get to review my favorite one of them all Mini Rainbow Frogs. As I said in my review of "Happy Cola" Haribo is a great candy company and this time they blow there cola candy out of the water with Mini Rainbow Frogs. These colorful frogs come in four flavors red, green, yellow and orange and all taste extraordinary.       Normally in a mixed bag of candy I tend to dislike a  flavor or two but in the Mini Rainbow Frogs I love every one of them equally. The texture of the candy is classic Haribo almost perfect (See my review on "Happy Cola" to get more on texture). On to the flavor I could go on for hours on how I love it but I will keep it short and say: Flavor-9 out of 10 Bears and the Texture 9 out of 10 Bears: OVERALL 9 out of 10 Bears go out and buy them NOW!

Lifesavers Gummies(Patrick)

Front Side of bag
It has been a long time since Geoff (pronounced GEE-off) came up with the concept, and now that we’re not distracted from the exciting lives we used to live, I have been able to finally sit and do a review.  My first and introductory review will be of the Life Savers Gummies.  While much more commercial than the others posted, they have a particular nostalgia factor from my childhood.
Now onto the gummies.  Everyone is familiar with the classic Life Saver flavors, so I have a pretty solid benchmark to compare the flavors.  After sampling all 5 flavors, I can say across the board the flavors stay true to their originals, but all except the watermelon and strawberry flavors had a bit of bland after taste, which I’ll attribute to the bland taste of gelatin.  The flavors were strongest at the beginning of the chew, as expected.  The texture, overall, ranks high among other gummies.  The little rings are firm, easy to chew, and are not shiny or waxy in any way.  Each one also has the Life Savers logo across the top like the originals.
I am also happy to report that it is still true that the Life Saver gummies do taste better when you wear them around finger like a ring and bite them off. Although my fingers are much bigger now than when I was little sitting in the lobby of our YMCA.
To sum it up; Taste: 7 of 10, Texture: 8 of 10, Overall 7 of 10

Welcome Pat!

This is a welcome post for our reviewer Patrick Kavanaugh. He has been apart of the site since the start back in November and he will be posting as much as he can. His first post on "Lifesavers Gummies" will be up tonight!
