Brach's-Wild 'N Fruity (Geoff)

Back side of bag.
Well as promised in my first video log (Vlog #1) I'm taking a crack at Brach's Wild 'N Fruity gummi bears. I purchased theses gummy bears from a local Walmart which I was surprised to see had a very small selection of gummy bears for such a large store. The bears come in a very colorful package which shows off the bears and each flavor of the bears both on the front and back of the packaging. The bears come in 6 fruity flavors which are made with real fruit juice. The classic flavors include Cherry, Grape, Lemon , Strawberry, Lime and Orange. Some of the flavors are very well done in fact the Orange and Strawberry were so good I dug through the bag just to find these flavors, I could not get enough of them.                                                         On the other hand some of the flavors were not so good like Lemon and Lime. The flavor overall was different and different isn't bad but definitively hit or miss for me. Now on to the texture this is where the gummy misses the stride. The bear is too soft, the nice firmness of Haribo is not present in these bears there is a stick factor that I'm not a fan of. To be fair these bears are not too soft that its unpleasant to eat but : Texture 5 out of 10 bears, Flavor 7 out of 10 bears, OVERALL 6 out of 10 Bears. there a hit or miss bear on each level, but give em a try if your in Walmart and in need of Gummy Bears.

Mini Rainbow Frogs(Geoff)

Front side of bag
Back side of bag
YES! YES! Another Haribo gummy and this time I get to review my favorite one of them all Mini Rainbow Frogs. As I said in my review of "Happy Cola" Haribo is a great candy company and this time they blow there cola candy out of the water with Mini Rainbow Frogs. These colorful frogs come in four flavors red, green, yellow and orange and all taste extraordinary.       Normally in a mixed bag of candy I tend to dislike a  flavor or two but in the Mini Rainbow Frogs I love every one of them equally. The texture of the candy is classic Haribo almost perfect (See my review on "Happy Cola" to get more on texture). On to the flavor I could go on for hours on how I love it but I will keep it short and say: Flavor-9 out of 10 Bears and the Texture 9 out of 10 Bears: OVERALL 9 out of 10 Bears go out and buy them NOW!

Lifesavers Gummies(Patrick)

Front Side of bag
It has been a long time since Geoff (pronounced GEE-off) came up with the concept, and now that we’re not distracted from the exciting lives we used to live, I have been able to finally sit and do a review.  My first and introductory review will be of the Life Savers Gummies.  While much more commercial than the others posted, they have a particular nostalgia factor from my childhood.
Now onto the gummies.  Everyone is familiar with the classic Life Saver flavors, so I have a pretty solid benchmark to compare the flavors.  After sampling all 5 flavors, I can say across the board the flavors stay true to their originals, but all except the watermelon and strawberry flavors had a bit of bland after taste, which I’ll attribute to the bland taste of gelatin.  The flavors were strongest at the beginning of the chew, as expected.  The texture, overall, ranks high among other gummies.  The little rings are firm, easy to chew, and are not shiny or waxy in any way.  Each one also has the Life Savers logo across the top like the originals.
I am also happy to report that it is still true that the Life Saver gummies do taste better when you wear them around finger like a ring and bite them off. Although my fingers are much bigger now than when I was little sitting in the lobby of our YMCA.
To sum it up; Taste: 7 of 10, Texture: 8 of 10, Overall 7 of 10

Welcome Pat!

This is a welcome post for our reviewer Patrick Kavanaugh. He has been apart of the site since the start back in November and he will be posting as much as he can. His first post on "Lifesavers Gummies" will be up tonight!

Happy Cola (Geoff)

Front Side of bag.
Back side of bag

Hey everyone, first off sorry for the long wait between posts I've been very busy for the last 2 months! But I'm through the busy time and ready to start reviewing again. Side note I know this review was supposed to be from Blair but unfortunately it was lost ,so I'm now reviewing it myself. Blair's review will be posted soon. So here it is Happy Cola from Haribo. Haribo is a very big company in the gummy industry and is well known for great candies, I will be posting on many of their candies on this site.                                       Happy Cola is a great example of  how Haribo  is successful, the gummy is almost perfect on a "Cola" taste. When you first start to eat it you instantly think of a Cola type product. I love this although I don't really like the flavor in a gummy. Now on to the texture its classic Haribo soft but not sticky almost the perfect texture in a gummy! I love Haribo and Happy Cola is no exception. SCORE: Texture= 9 out of 10 Bears, Flavor= 8 out of 10Bears. OVERALL: 8.5 out of 10 Bears.
